Falconer Rotary Club member Lorri Huckelbery was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow at the recent installation dinner.
Huckelbery has belonged to Falconer Rotary since 2005. She has been very actively involved in all aspects of Rotary since her first meeting. Currently she serves as club secretary and chairperson of the Literacy Program. It is the Literacy Program that Huckelbery is most passionate about. Over the past seven years she has collected gently used books for our food pantries, the Gustavus Adolphus Home, the Women's Shelter as well as other groups. She also has worked of fund raising to purchase new books for deserving students in the Falconer school district and several small libraries in the area.
Huckelbery has served on the board of the Sinclairville Library and is in charge of their Story Hour and their summer reading program As if this were not enough, Huckelbery travels to other libraries in the area as a guest Story Hour reader. She not only brings a book to read, she arranges a craft and also a treat for the youngsters.
