LAKEWOOD - Joe and Michele Battaglia won the recent Chautauqua Lake Bassmasters Guy/Gal Tournament.
The tournament is sponsored by Russell E. Diethrick in honor of his mother, who loved to fish.
Michele caught the big bass of the tournament with a weight of 3.26 pounds and together the pair recorded a total weight of 11.17 pounds.

In second place were Dick and Kathy Heitman with a combined weight of 10.60 pounds and in third were Mike and Kelly Graham, with a weight of 8.67 pounds.
Rounding out the top four were Chuck and Brenda Angelo, with a weight of 6.96 pounds. Brenda's big catch was 2.45 pounds.
The next event for the Bassmasters is a club points tournament at the Bemus Point launch.
On Wednesday and also on July 31, the Bassmasters will hold its cookie jar tournament at the Bemus Point launch. The entrance fee is $25 per boat, and the public is welcome to enter; weigh-in time is 9 p.m. sharp.
