The BAYSO Under-17 boys soccer team won two playoff games on Sunday to capture the Southern Tier Travel Soccer League championship.
BAYSO defeated Northwest, 1-0, in the semifinal with the winning goal coming from Tanner Hoose off an assist by Jesse Pardue with less than 20 seconds remaining. Kyle Richardson earned the shutout in goal.
In the championship game, BAYSO edged Bradford, 2-1, courtesy of Riley Beaton's two goals. Hoose was named the Most Valuable Player in the title game. BAYSO finished the season unbeaten.
FAYS U-14 GIRLS
Mikayla Corrigan and Maddie Sohl recorded goals as Eckman Insurance nipped BAYSO's Honeycomb, 2-1.
Karen Johnson tallied in the loss.
