LAKEWOOD - The McDonald's Senior Golf Tour traveled to Maplehurst Country Club on Monday and, using the modified Stableford scoring system, Denny Ayers led Flight A with plus 6.
He was followed by Dave Kozak and Art Asquith with plus 2s and Ayers also had the low gross with a 74.
In Flight B, Jim Wirges took first with plus 5, Paul Dumaine was second with plus 4 and Bob Wade placed third with plus 3 and shot an 83 for low gross.
Jim Watt led Flight C with plus 8, Jerry Adams was a shot back at plus 7 and Carl Sandstrom was third with plus 3. Wall earned low-net honors with an 86.
In Flight D, Bill Greenwood was tops with a plus 13, Tom Szydlo was next with plus 7 and Dean Harvey had a plus 5 for third. Greenwood carded an 83 for low gross.
Bill Saulsgiver carded a plus 5 to win Flight E, Dave Nichols and Ed Rumiano each had plus 4s and Gary Simon had 97 for the low gross.
Tom Harte topped Flight F with a plus 8, Don Garfield and Tom McConnon both had plus 6s and Norm Smith's 100 was the low gross score.
Closest-to-the-pin honors went to Dave Vanstrom on No. 3, Ken Aldrich on No. 7, Rumiano on No. 13 and Bill Kestler on No. 16.
The McDonald's Tour will pay a visit to Scenic Height Golf Course on July 1 with an 8 a.m. start time.
