Mary J. Jennings Wood Hodges, 82, of Griff Hill Road, Clarendon, Pa., passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2013, at Golden Living - Kinzua Valley.
Mrs. Hodges was born June 24, 1930, in Warren, Pa., the daughter of the late Marshall and Esther McConnell Jennings.
A lifelong area resident, Mary was formerly employed by the Warren State Hospital as a nurse's aide. Mary enjoyed her family, and her dog, "Peanut."
She is survived by seven children: Fred Wood and wife, Alice, Warren, Pa., Delores Williams, James-town, N.Y., Harold Wood and girlfriend, Fran, Stone-ham, Pa., Debbie Allen and boyfriend, Kelly, James-town, N.Y., Bonnie Griffin, Stoneham, Pa., Diana Hawk and husband, Terry, of Stoneham, Pa., and Rose Gibson, Phoenix, Ariz.; five siblings: Lois Lewis and husband, Dan, Russell, Pa., Martha Hornstrom and husband, Jim, Russell, Pa., Shirley Parkee, Georgia, Linda Griswold and husband, Joe, Limestone, N.Y., and Dorothy Morgan, Cam-bridge Springs, Pa; 11 grandchildren, one step grandchild; and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, James Wood; brothers: Floyd "Bump" Jennings and Fred Jennings; and two sisters: Judy Moffit and Louise Thomas.
Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family, with the Rev. Rick Hamrick, pastor, Youngsville Free Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery.
