Muriel E. "Paula" Pacitti, 84, formally of Falconer, passed away Thursday (June 13, 2013) in Heritage Village Rehab & Skilled Nursing Center, Gerry.
She was born Aug. 21, 1928, in Greenwood, N.Y., the daughter of the late William and Esther Niver Sampson.
Paula attended Coudersport High School and was a graduate of Buffalo Beauty School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Falconer, and enjoyed gardening, feeding and watching birds, dogs, and reading.

She is survived by her son, James L. Pacitti of West Ellicott, Jamestown; a daughter, Jody L. Pacitti of Redmond, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Geno J. Pacitti, whom she married Nov. 1959, who died March 19, 2006; two brothers: Phillip and Eugene Sampson; and two sisters: Elizabeth Sherman and Jeanette Covey.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Rev. Chad Sayers, pastor of Falconer United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received by the family from 6-8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
