PITTSBURGH - Several members of the AirGadfly Martial Arts Combat Sports Team recently competed at the Kumite Classic martial arts competition in Pittsburgh.
Sean Connor competed in adult male black belt divisions where he placed second in weapons, third in continuous fighting and seventh in open hand.
Julie Vincent competed in adult female black belt divisions and was awarded first place in continuous fighting, second in point sparring, third in weapons and seventh for her open hand kata.

Joe McIntyre competed in six events in the 15-17 black belt division. He took first place for his open musical form, and also had two seconds and three thirds in his other divisions.
This was McIntyre's first win at a national tournament in the National Black Belt League.
Mike McIntyre was third in the 45 and over black belt sparring division while Reece Bly was a finalist in the 15-17 junior black belt point sparring division.
Mike Potter took second in the 18-34 advanced sparring division and placed fourth in the 35-plus point sparring division.
Ethan Shields competed in the 9-10 intermediate division and placed third in sparring and was awarded fifth place for his open hand kata.
The AirGadfly players were coached by Sean Connor, black belt instructor at GAKA.
