BUSTI - Eighteen E-Mods were on hand for the M.A.C. Truck Parts/Chad's Ring & Pinion E-Mod Special at Stateline Speedway on Saturday night.
The 25-lap event paid the winner $1,000 and started with a lap-one incident-ending the night for John Boyd and Greg Johnson. Leonard Enos lead the through lap 16 when Brent Rhebergen took advantage of a restart to complete the pass of Enos he was attempting since the beginning of the race. Rhebergen survived a late-race caution for the win his second of the season.
The 2012 Crate Late Model champion Damian Bidwell made his first victory-lane visit of the season. Bidwell ran side by side with polesitter Bob Dorman for the first two laps, but Dorman lost the handle on lap two, was sent to the rear then charged through the field for a third-place finish.

Second-generation racer Steve Kania, last year's Limited Late champion, became the first Limited repeat winner and after a long dry spell, Boom Briggs returned to the winner's circle in the Super Late Model Division.
Also, Chris Couchenour was the first to complete the Street Stock feature, but failed a post-race inspection giving the win to point leader Brian Crandall, who had run second to Couchenour from lap one.
Brent Crandall led every lap of the Super Sportsman feature except the last one. Crandall suffered a mechanical failure which caused him to spin in turn one on the last lap turning the lead over to Mike Kosinski for his first win of the season.
Casey Burch continued to dominate the Super Challenger class winning his third feature of the season.
Greg Johnson was the victim of a tangle between John Boyd and Leonard Enos on the first lap of the E-Mod special. Boyd and Enos were the leaders. When the green reappeared, Enos was out in front with Mike Eschrich second and Brent Rhebergen third. Rhebergen sent Eschrich back a spot on lap four. Then Justin Carlson slowed to a stop up against the turn-two exit for the second yellow. Enos, Rhebergen, Eschrich, TJ Downs, and John Woodward Jr. were the restart leaders.
Tony Marotto and Chevy Sweet caused caution three. Rhebergen was able to move alongside Enos on the restart, but could not complete the pass. Dave Tackett Jr. stopped for caution four with nine laps remaining in the event. The restart set Rhebergen up on the outside allowing him to finally complete the pass for the lead. Enos tucked into second as the laps wound down.
A lap-24 yellow caused by Steve Rex set up a single-file restart with two laps remaining. Enos suffered rear-end problems during the final laps and could not catch Rhebergen. Eschrich got a piece or the front stretch fence at the finish line finishing fifth.
Bob Dorman and Doug Ricotta were on the front row for the Crate Late Model feature with Jason Genco and Damian Bidwell in row two. Bidwell and Dorman ran the first two circuits side by side, but in turn two on lap three Dorman lost the handle bringing out the caution. Dorman moved the tail and Bidwell became the leader. Dave Shagla was second with Scott Gurdak third.
Gurdak took control of the runner-up position five car lengths behind Bidwell with Shagla several car lengths back in third. Rob Pietz went up in smoke on lap 10, but pulled safely in to the infield for no caution. Genco slowed on the speedway with 14 laps complete for the second yellow of the race. The leaders were Bidwell, Gurdak on the outside in second and Shagla on the inside in third. Justin Tatlow was fourth with Dorman fifth after restarting from the rear.
Bidwell easily out distanced Gurdak on the restart, but Shagla fell to a charging Dorman. Dorman's charge ran out of laps and the 2012 champ Damian Bidwell made his first trip to victory lane.
On the opening lap of the Limited Late Model feature, Dustin Eckman came to a stop near first-turn wall, bringing a halt to green-flag racing. The second attempt at racing was good with Steve Kania leading a lap before Troy Dorman spun in turn two, again slowing the event. Kania was alone at the front with Ryan Scott and Jake Finnerty contesting the No. 2 spot. Scott nosed ahead of Finnerty on lap eight and nine with Nate Short joining the fray. Scott slipped on lap 11 falling to fourth behind Short. Lap traffic did not slow Kania. Chad Schauers spun with 15 laps down for caution three.

John Cline spun to a stop on lap 17 for yellow four and Kania became the first repeat winner in the Limited Late division.
Boom Briggs and Greg Oakes made up the Super Late Model feature front row with Dutch Davies and Darrell Bossard in row two. Briggs was the first by the flag stand with Davies second and Oakes third. Chub Frank was fourth followed by Scott Gurdak.
Frank moved along side Oakes taking third on lap five as Briggs led Davies by 10 car lengths. Dick Barton was moving up in the pack taking fifth with 14 laps remaining. Chris Hackett slowly pulled into the pits with 17 laps complete and the race stayed green. Briggs took the two-to-go signal still several car lengths ahead of Davies. The race finished that way giving Briggs his first win of the season and his first since 2008.
Chris Couchenour and Brian Crandall were the early Street Stock leaders with Paul Nelson third and Victor Earle Jr. fourth. Jeremy William collected Kyle Reinwald in a turn four incident with six laps of the 15-lap race complete. Elaine Best and Guy Adams brought out the second yellow shortly after halfway. The leaders remained Couchenour, Crandall, Nelson, Earle and Mark Thompson.
Thomson suffered a flat on the restart and then Best, Eric Harvey and Richard Wojtowicz caused caution three. Cars on both end of the speedway caused caution four on the lap-13 restart. Jason Covey, Best, Williams, Dennis Asel and Reinwald were all involved.
Just one more lap was complete and another multicar incident collected Asel, Andrew Faulhaber and fifth-place runner Earle.
Couchenour ran the final two laps unchallenged for his first win of the season and point leader Brian Crandall finished second. Couchenour failed a post race inspection and was disqualified giving the win to point-leader Crandall.
Brent Crandall started the Super Sportsman feature on the outside winning the dash to turn one to become the early leader The yellow appeared on lap three as Crandall, Dan Nocero Jr., Ron Burgun and Don McGuire were the leaders. Nocero fell back to fourth on the restart. A spin by Clint Haskins and a slowing Mike Murray caused caution two and Nocero pulled into the pits with a flat during the yellow. Nocero rejoined the field before the restart. McGuire was third with Mike Kosinski fifth.
With one lap remaining, Crandall lost control in turn one turning the lead over to Mike Kosinski. Crandall left the speedway on the hook. Kosinski easily led the final lap for his first win of the season.
Three wide into turn one for the Super Challenger feature ended with Casey Burch the leader. Ken Hultin was second. Burch survived a late-race caution for his third win of the season.
