June 5, 2013
The Post-Journal

Three people, a man and two women, were rescued Tuesday afternoon after their boat began taking on water. Jamestown firefighters were dispatched around 5 p.m. to the Chadakoin River around 11th Street. Sam Salemme, Jamestown Fire Department battalion chief, said the operator forgot to plug the boat, causing it to take on water. Members of the city fire department used their boat to retrieve the three people, whose names were not released and were not injured. Celoron firefighters were dispatched as well.
