HANOVER - A motorcyclist was airlifted to a Buffalo hospital and another man was charged following an accident in Hanover on Tuesday.
Police said Matthew R. Greenough, 24, was operating a motorcycle on Hanover Road around 3:30 p.m. when he struck a vehicle, operated by Jose A. Reyes, 49.
Deputies responded to the scene with State Police and Silver Creek police. An investigation found Reyes allegedly failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign located at the intersection of Hanover and Angell roads when he pulled into the pathway of Greenough.
Police said Greenough was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered non life-threatening injuries. He was taken to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo by helicopter for evaluation.
Reyes was charged with failure to yield the right of way. He is scheduled to appear in town of Hanover court at a later date.
