WESTFIELD - The Westfield Memorial Hospital Foundation's 21st annual Golf Tournament, scheduled to be held July 12 at Chautauqua Golf Club, will mark the foundation's 35th anniversary.
As the major source of fund-raising for the hospital, the foundation's mission is to provide financial support for the delivery of high quality healthcare to the residents of the Chautauqua region. The golf tournament is a major contributor to its annual philanthropic campaigns.
WMHF's mission this year is endorsed by the Westfield Memorial Hospital medical staff as a major sponsor. Proceeds will be used to purchase state-of-the-art medical equipment for the Emergency Department.

In addition to each tournament winner, who will receive a $150 gift certificate to the Chautauqua pro shop, there will be prizes for the longest drive for men and women and straightest drive as well as a betting hole winner. Drawings will be held the day of the tournament and items include a LG 47-inch TV, two tickets for the Buffalo Bills Oct.13 game against the Cincinnati Bengals game, an Apple IPad, a Kindle Fire HD, a child's pedal car, a wicker-style patio pub set, a day/evening at Chautauqua Institution and more.
Tournament sponsorship opportunities are available to promote area businesses which also will help to sustain one of the region's greatest assets - the hospital. They are available starting at $2,000, a double-diamond level, which includes two foursomes for the tournament and the business name on the program and on a tee sign. Also available are diamond, golf ball sponsor, platinum, gold, silver and bronze level sponsorships.
The day will be topped off with a cocktail reception and dinner prepared by Andriaccio's Restaurant. Family and friends of the golfers also are invited to the dinner for an extra cost per person.
The tournament is chaired by Patty DiPalma, WMHF development director; and co-chaired by Sid Hoyt, WMHF board member and long-time golfer. Foundation committee members are Terri Casler, John Rawlinson and Ann Weidman; Development assistant Kate Mead; volunteers are Mary Margaret Fogarty, Ruth Ann Raines and Carolyn Rawlinson; hospital associates are Charlene Abbey, Laura Asel, Patty Ballman, Ed Brooks, Sherry Carlson, Linda Dorman, Don Dougan, Linda Dougan, Cindy Harper, Holly Momberger, Kim Raynor, Doug Sanderson, Amy Smith and Barry Wright.
