OLEAN - Last year, Trevin Barber and McKenna Maycock took home the top finishes in the CCAA pentathlon and steeplechase.
This year, the Allegany-Limestone senior and the Randolph sophomore did it again.
Barber finished first among 25 boys competitors with 3,082 points and Maycock was tops among 13 girls competitors with 2,802 points at the 2013 pentathlon and steeplechase at Olean High School.
McKenna Maycock captured the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association pentathlon at Olean High School on Saturday, winning the 100-meter hurdles, above, and the 800, below. She also claimed the long jump.

Barber placed first in both the 110 hurdles (:16.30) and shotput (40-1 ), second in the high jump (6-) and 1,500-meter run (4:42.70) and third in the long jump (17-9) to claim the top spot.
Damian Taylor, of Salamanca, placed second overall with 2,777 points, which included a first-place finish in the high jump (6-1), and teammate Sal Seitz placed third with 2,672 points, which included a first-place finish in the long jump (18-9).
Rounding out the top five were John Ludden (Clymer/Sherman/Panama) and Jeremia Solecki (Cattaraugus-Little Valley). Olean High's Jake Cihak took first in the 1,500-meter run (4:40.00) and place sixth overall as the Huskies' top finisher.
On the girls' side, Maycock finished first in three of the five events - the 100 hurdles (:16.00), long jump (15-7) and 800-meter run (2:26.80) - to earn the top spot. She also finished tied for third in the high jump (4-5) and second in the shot put (27-2). Franklinville's Cheyenne Staufenberger finished second overall with 2,205 points, including a second-place finish in the 800, while Janelle Jasinski of Dunkirk claimed first in the high jump (4-7) and shotput (27-7) and third overall (2,194 points).
Brenna Gelen, of Allegany-Limestone, and Rachel Zimmer, of West Valley, finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

In the boys' 3000-meter steeplechase, Olean High's John Panus took the top spot with a time of 10:10.10. Josh Odell (Clymer/Sherman/Panama) finished second (10:25.30) while Cattaraugus-Little Valley's Gil Keenen took third (10:31.40).
A-L's Owen Barber (10:48.20) and Franklinville's Matt Bacher (10:52.30) placed fourth and fifth, respectively, among the race's 17 finishers.
Rachel Rosas, of Dunkirk, took the girls' 2000-meter steeplchase with a time of 8:09.40. Salamanca's Shaelyn Smith (8:19.50) finished second while Gowanda's Hunter Samuelson (8:22.20) placed third. Dunkirk's Calan Porlgorzelski (8:30.00) and Franklinville's Kelsey Brown (8:32.10) rounded out the top five.
LANCASTER - Erin Butman placed sixth in the long jump (15-3) for Jamestown High School in the Western New York Girls Track & Field Classic at Lancaster High School on Saturday.
