LAKEWOOD - Matt Johnson of Southwestern, Cooper Miller of Falconer, Zac Eklum of Jamestown and Erik Olson of Maple Grove reached the tennis singles semifinals of the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Boys Tennis Tournament on Tuesday at the Lakewood Family YMCA.
Johnson defeated Kyle Richardson of Maple Grove, 6-1, 6-1 in the first round and Kevin Volz of Olean, 6-2, 6-0, in the quarterfinals.
Miller turned back Jack Payne of Panama, 6-2, 6-1, in the first round and eliminated Quinn White of Southwestern, 6-0, 6-0, in the quarterfinals.

Eklum ousted Jake Volz of Olean, 6-2, 6-2, and later in the quarterfinals prevailed over Bryce Payne of Panama, 6-3, 6-2.
Olson took care of Rahim Karimi of Southwestern, 6-2, 6-0, during the first round and defeated Mike Maternna of Olean, 6-3, 6-2, in the quarterfinals.
Johnson meets Eklum and Miller takes on Olson when the semifinals are held at noon on Friday followed by the finals at 2 p.m. at the Lakewood Family YMCA.
Doubles play begins on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the semifinals set for noon and the finals at 2 p.m. Friday .
