Jane Currie and Kathleen Crocker shared their experiences when writing a book on Jamestown, Chautauqua Institution, Westfield and the Chautauqua Lake region at a recent Lakewood Chautauqua South Rotary meeting. They both began as individual writers who were curious about the role their ancestors played in the development of this area of Western New York. They met while doing research, became close friends and decided to join together and write books describing the life and people of the area. They also explored the post offices and newspapers in the county.
