BUSTI - The Challengers will be featured on Saturday night at Stateline Speedway in the Neil's Propane Challenger Special.
After week one, Casey Burch of Kennedy leads the Challengers followed by Jamestown's Travis Darling, Ashville's John Kewl, Panama's Stephen Enlow and Bill Baker from Grand Valley, Pa.
Last week's opening-night Super Late Model feature should have been renamed the Super Late Model Legends race as four of the top five combined for 141 Late Model feature wins. They were Dick Barton of Ashville with 75, Ron Davies of Warren with 32, Rich Gardner of Waterford Pa. with 19 and Chub Frank of Bear Lake Pa. with 15.
Zack Carley of Freedom was the Crate Late Model winner last week with Stockton's Bob Dorman second and Damian Bidwell of Eldred Pa., third.
Second-generation driver Steve Kania from Waterford Pa., continued his 2012 winning ways into the 2013 season with the Limited Late Model win followed the third-generation drive Ryan Scott of Garland Pa.
Clymer's Jim Kibbe notched is first Super Sportsman win besting 2012 Champ Dan Nocero Jr.
Veteran Brian Crandall of Stockton held off 2012 champ Chris Withers and 2011 champ Brandon Groters of Gerry to win the first Street Stock feature of the season.
Stateline Speedway's management, fans and racers were deeply saddened by the loss of Paula Southwell in a tragic motorcycle accident last Saturday. Paula, the daughter of Butch Southwell veteran driver and last week's E-Mod feature winner, will be sorely missed.
