MACHIAS - The Cattaraugus County Museum, 9824 Route 16, Machias, will host programs for those interested in the Civil War beginning with a booksigning and discussion of his new book "Allegany to Appomattox" on May 18.
Programs, which will continue each second and fourth Wednesday evening, June through August include:
June 12: Bent Brass Band - a musical performance of "Civil War Era Music";
June 26: Jackie Cornwall - "Women During the Civil War";
July 10: Tom Schobert - "The Story of Robert E. Lee";
July 24: Craig Braack - "Gettysburg, The High Water Mark of the Confederacy";
Aug. 14: Jim Kimball - a musical performance of "Civil War Music";
Aug. 28: Union Volunteer Fire and Drum Company - a musical performance of "Field Music of the Civil War."
