Mary Jane Gibson, 80, of 46 W. 13th St., died Tuesday, May 7, 2013, in Heritage Rehab and Skilled Nursing.
She was born July 6, 1932, in Olean, a daughter of the late Norman and Hazel Rudesill Gibson.
She was a graduate of Bradford High School, Alfred University and received a master's degree in education from Fredonia State College.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Bemus Point School Dis-trict as a fifth-grade teacher.
She was a member of New York State Horse Show Association, Ameri-can Saddle Horse Association, American Saddle Horse Show Association, Eastern Star in Bradford and the Samuel Derby Post American Legion, Frewsburg.
Surviving are a sister, Norma Griffith of Webster, N.Y.; a brother, Charles F. Gibson of Russell, Pa.; and a nephew, Charles D. Gibson of Ashville.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Gibson; and a sister, Ruth Schott.
No funeral service or visitation will be observed.
Inurnment will be in McKean Memorial Park, Bradford.
