John V. Healy, 53, of 222 McKinley Ave., died at 2:47 p.m. Monday (May 6, 2013), in his home.
He was born Feb. 7, 1960, in Jamestown, the son of John F. and Phyllis D. Veator Healy, and was a graduate of Jamestown High School.
Prior to retiring, he had been employed by Dawson Metal Co., Jamestown Metal Products and Matco Tools. During his working years, he was active with the union.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and loved his dogs. He also enjoyed motorcycles, playing pool and fishing.
He is survived by his daughter, Tracy Moncrief of Jamestown; his son, Mike Moncrief of San Jose, Calif.; three grand-daughters: Sateva Ramsey of Frewsburg, and Elizabeth and Hunter Williams, both of Busti; four sisters: Ellen (Robert) Munella of Jamestown, Susan (Mert) Baran of Jamestown, Eileen Healy of Jamestown, and Erin (Ed) Lyons of Mechanicville, N.Y.; two nieces and three nephews; and his best friends: Mark Queen and Ericka Farnsworth.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
