RANDOLPH - Cattaraugus-Little Valley scored five runs over the first two innings and Sara Crandall continued her strong pitching as the Lady Timberwolves (6-2, 6-5) produced an 8-4 win over Randolph (2-7, 2-7) in Division 2 softball action Monday.
Crandall picked up the complete-game victory, tossing a four-hitter with 11 strikeouts and two walks. She also helped her own cause with a double, two singles and drove in three runs.
Also for the winners, Kaitlyn Nye delivered four hits with a triple and Caylee Starks and Natalie Booth both homered.
The Lady Cardinals scored all four of their runs in the fifth inning. Hilary Clinger took the loss, pitching seven innings while collecting seven strikeouts with two walks. Mandy Finch slammed a double and a single with two RBIs and Brayley Rodunardt had a triple.
