Southwestern held the lead throughout, but one big inning helped lift Olean (9-2) to a 13-5 come-from-behind victory in Division 1 baseball on Monday.
The Trojans (1-8) were in the lead, 5-3, thanks to solid pitching by Jake Pilling, but the Huskies broke things open with two outs to score six runs.
For the winners, Brad Painter pitched a complete game, striking out 15 while walking two and surrendering four hits. He was supported by Pat Scholla, who pounded out three doubles and two singles and Painter helped his own cause with a double and two singles.
Pilling walked four in the loss for Southwestern and Kyle Radack and Noah Weinstein each had two hits.
FREDONIA STILL PERFECT
FALCONER - Fredonia maintained its undefeated status in Division 1.
The Hillbillies ran the record to 9-0 with a 8-2 victory over Falconer (3-7, 3-12).
Cameron Voss went six innings to get the win, scattering six singles with seven walks and four strikeouts. Cody Smith finished up with an inning of work.
Zach Buckley and Chris Saden split four hits for Fredonia with Saden drilling a two-run triple in the five-run fourth. Cody Smith added a triple for the winners, who were aided with six unearned runs.
Zak Mata lashed two hits for Falconer, which scored in the third on Jim Schwab's sacrifice fly and in the fifth on Mata's sacrifice fly.
