The Viking Male Chorus and Damkoren of Jamestown are community based and associated with the Ingjald Lodge No. 65, International Order of Vikings, Jamestown and are members of the American Union of Swedish Singers.
The groups are under the direction of Mary Schmidt and accompanied by Andrew Schmidt. The choruses meet weekly (September to May) to prepare for a Spring Concert, Scandinavian Summer Festival Concert and Christmas concerts for local retirement homes. The groups sing music separately and together in English and Swedish and are always looking for more members.
