PANAMA- Maple Grove (6-5, 6-1) rolled to a 14-1 win over Panama (2-6, 2-5) in Division 3 baseball on Thursday.
Will Lucas had two singles, a double, two steals and three RBIs for the Red Dragons while Aaron Germain had two singles and three RBIs.
Germain was also the winning pitcher as he allowed two hits and four walks and struck out 12 in six innings.
Panama's lone run was scored by Patrick Yuchnitz .
WESTFIELD GETS REVENGE
SOUTH DAYTON - The Westfield Wolverines (6-1, 9-1) have one blemish on their record this season. That loss came at the hands of Pine Valley (4-3, 6-4), 5-0, earlier in the season.
With revenge on their minds, the Wolverines came out of the gates swinging and handed the Panthers a 14-2 thumping.
Brandon Johnston led the way for the Wolverines as he had two hits, reached base twice on errors and scored four runs. Travis Rammelt added two hits with a triple and an RBI while Nolan Hunt had three hits, scored two runs and drove in three more. Dan Tofil was 3-for-4 with three RBIs. Rob Burgess doubled and had two RBIs while Joe Quagliana doubled. Tanner Dahl also had two singles, an RBI and a run for the victors.
Pine Valley's Spencer Sticek was the lone bright spot in defeat with a three-hit performance.
Burgess was the winning pitcher as he scattered eight hits, walked three and fanned five.
