Michelle Lynn Markham, 51, of Absolut of Westfield, Westfield, N.Y., passed away with her loving family by her side late Tuesday morning, April 30, 2013, at Absolut of Westfield, following an ex-tended illness.
Michelle was born in Westfield, N.Y., on May 15, 1961, and was the daughter of the late Willis and Dorothy Genung Markham.
She spent most of her life in Brocton, N.Y., and was a graduate of the Brocton Central School district, where she loved and participated on the softball team.

Michelle was employed for many years as a nurse's aide for The Chautauqua County Home and Infirmary of Dunkirk, N.Y. She also had moved to Bradenton, Fla., in 2007, where she worked for five years as a nurse's aide for The Bradenton Health Care Center of Bradenton, Fla.
She was a member of the Fellowship Church of Brocton, N.Y. Michelle also found great enjoyment in working with various arts and crafts.
She is survived by her one son, Kyle Markham of Brocton, N.Y.; her foster mother, Mary Jane Perkins of Portland, N.Y.; a brother, Dale Markham of Brocton, N.Y.; three sisters: Cheryl (Edward) Overstreet of Bradenton, Fla., Wanda (James) Hall of Brocton, N.Y., and Phyllis Raynor of Brocton, N.Y,; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her foster father, Carl Perkins; and two brothers: Larry Markham and James Markham.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2013, at 4 p.m., from the Morse Funeral Home, 51 Highland Ave., Brocton, N.Y. The Rev Sandy Ball of the Fellowship Church of Brocton will officiate. Friends are invited to call at the Morse Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m. prior to the service.
Interment will take place privately at a later time.
