BROCTON - Jess Merle did it all for Brocton on Tuesday in leading the Lady Bulldogs (5-2, 5-3) to an 11-2 victory over Sherman (0-4, 0-6) in Division 4 softball.
In the circle, Merle scattered two hits, struck out nine and walked three. At the plate, she was 3-for-3 with a grand-slam homer to highlight a six-run second inning.
Jenna Jusko added three hits and Paige Odebralski had three hits with a double for the winners.
The win keeps Brocton in second place behind North Collins and Ripley.
The Lady Wildcats received a double from Bunck and a single from Toy.
