SINCLAIRVILLE - Frewsburg scored seven runs in the first two innings, Cassadaga Valley (4-2, 4-6) fought back to make things close before the Bears closed it out for an 8-6 win in Division 2 baseball action Monday.
After the offensive output by the Bears, the Cougars scored three runs in the first and added another run in the fourth and two more in the fifth.
Tyson Gugino started for the Cougars before giving way to Matt Hollowell, who gave up just one hit and one walk in the final five innings.

For the winners, Bryce Peterson drilled a double and a single, Tage Johnson added two hits and Trevor Spicer tripled. Johnson pitched a compete game with nine strikeouts, three walks and gave up six hits.
Hollowell delivered two hits with a double for Cassadaga Valley.
RANDOLPH - The first inning decided the issue early for Randolph (3-3, 5-4).
The Cardinals rapped out five hits and combined that with several walks and errors led to 10 runs in an 18-3 win over Silver Creek (1-5, 3-7).
Andrew Hvizdzak keyed the first inning uprising with a two-run double and later had another RBI single for three RBIs in the 15-hit attack.
Kyle Brown and Nate Beaver split six singles with Beaver bringing home three RBIs and Brown one. Ryan Styles contributed two RBIs on two singles.
Winning pitcher Mitchell Maycock went four innings, Bryce Morrison one and Hvizdzak two. Together, they combined on a six-hitter.
C-LV HELD TO ONE HIT
PORTVILLE - Portville's Brett Marcellin was in complete control, giving up only one hit in the first inning as the Panthers improved to 6-2 with an 11-0 shutout win over Cattaraugus-Little Valley (5-3).
Marcellin was brilliant on the mound, striking out 16 batters and he helped his own cause with three doubles. Justus Elliott had a single, a double, a home run and drove in six runs and Zach Wood and Brandon Muniga both doubled.
Luke Macakenja took the loss for the Timberwolves with three strikeouts and a walk.
