Sydney Burk fanned four and scattered six hits over seven innings, Summer Borysoff delivered a pair of hits with two RBIs and Southwestern won consecutive league games for the first time in five years when it defeated Jamestown, 8-6, on Saturday.
The Lady Trojans, coming off a victory over Allegany-Limestone, are now an even 3-3 in Division 1.
Along with Borysoff, Jenna Yuchnitz collected two hits for the victors, who broke open a 3-3 tie with a four-run fifth inning.
For Jamestown, Hannah Pollino led with two hits, including a triple, and Chelsea Jackson had two hits as well.
McKenzie Martin took the loss after surrendering eight runs on eight hits with three strikeouts.
Southwestern will be looking to make it three in a row on Monday when it hosts Dunkirk.
MOTT SHINES AGAIN
RANDOLPH - Sam Mott was at it again the in the circle.
The Frewsburg senior, who on Friday had tossed a no-hitter against Silver Creek, fanned 16 and surrendered three hits in a victory over Randolph a day later.
Mott also recorded a pair of hits, including a solo home run, to go along with a team-high four RBIs.
Frewsburg, which improved to 8-3 overall and a perfect 6-0 in league, finished the contest with 14 hits as Shawna Raymond and Reyanne Strong each had three singles, and McKenzie Cass and Karlee Foti had two hits with a triple apiece.
Kaylee Luce, Mandy Finch and Breyley Rodunardt had the lone hits for Randolph (1-3, 1-3).
