Jean L. Brown Green Muniz, 64, of Kennedy, passed away Wednesday (April 24, 2013) in her home.
She was born Feb. 1, 1949, in Salamanca, the daughter of the late of George and Clariabel Cox Brown.
Jean was employed with Accredited Care, of Jamestown as a home health care aide. Her family and grandchildren meant every-thing to her. She enjoyed gardening, family gatherings, pig roasts, playing cards, dancing and playing bingo, and just enjoyed being outdoors in general.
Surviving are her two sons: Scott (Danielle) Green of Ellington and Miguel (Danielle) Muniz of Kennedy; a daughter: Alicia Muniz of Kennedy; 13 grandchildren: Cassey, Cammie, Whitney, Randi, Paige, Chelsie, Scott Jr., Micheal, Tenela, Trevor, Brett, Marissa and Lily; a great-grandchild, Luke Jones; a brother, Donald (Roberta) Brown of Kennedy; and a son-in-law, Joe Proper.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Carmelo Muniz whom she married Aug. 1, 1987, and who died Oct. 25, 2006; three children, Merle R. Green Jr. in 1986, Lisa Proper in 2011, and Carmen (Baby) Brown.
The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Roy Ferguson of the Busti Church of God will officiate. Burial will be in Rutledge Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
