BPU Pump Fail Causes Discolored Water

April 25, 2013
By The Post-Journal (editorial@post-journal.com) , The Post-Journal

A pump at the Board of Public Utilities Buffalo Street pump station again failed and reset, causing water to stir and become discolored on the north side of the city late this afternoon. BPU water customers in the north side of Jamestown should be careful not to do laundry until the water clears. The water may take 12-18 hours to settle. BPU electricians are looking to determine the source of the problem at the pump station.
