SALAMANCA - Tyson Gugino did it all in leading Cassadaga Valley past Salamanca, 6-3, in Division 2 baseball on Tuesday.
Gugino went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs as the Cougars, who never trailed, tallied two runs in the first, three in the fourth and one more for good measure in the sixth.
On the hill, Gugino earned the victory when he went seven innings, fanning three, walking two and surrendering just one earned run.
Teammate Tim Bender chipped in with two hits and an RBI, Dakota Morano scored two runs and drove in one and Andy Ellis delivered two hits in three at-bats with a run scored.
For Salamanca (0-4), Matt Crandall was a perfect 3-fo3 with an RBI while Chris Jimerson and Andy Crandall each collected a hit and a run scored.

CATTARAUGUS -Two big innings and a great pitching performance by Luke Macakanja lifted Cattaraugus-Little Valley to a 9-1 win over Randolph (1-3, 2-3) in Division 2 baseball on Tuesday.
The Timberwolves (2-1, 4-1) scored four runs in the second and four more in the third as Macakanja went the distance, posting 12 strikeouts while walking two and giving up six hits. He also contributed a double and surrendered his only run of the game in the seventh inning.
Sam Agnew added a double and single and four RBIs for the Timberwolves, who racked up 10 hits overall.
The loss went to Andrew Hvizdzak, who went five innings with four strikeouts and two walks. He and Lucas Brown both doubled for the Cardinals.
On Monday, Cattaraugus-Little Valley traveled to West Valley and came home with a 10-1 win, scoring five runs in the fifth inning.
Justin Forster was a winner in his first varsity start with a strikeout and four walks while surrendering only one hit. He also contributed two hits while Sam Agnew added two hits and three RBIs.
Ryan Hanft pitched the last two innings in relief, striking out six and walking two.
