The Jamestown Community College Jayhawks (11-20, 10-10) rallied for a win in the opening and then dropped the nightcap in extra innings on Sunday in an NJCAA Region 3 Division III baseball doubleheader at Diethrick Park.
JCC scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning for a 4-2 victory in the opening game, but lost the second game, 7-5, in eight innings.
The Jayhawks came into the bottom of sixth trailing 2-0 in the first game when they scored four runs on three hits.

Lead-off batter Tyler Borowski was hit by a pitch and then Josh Allan reached base on an error. Falconer graduate Tyler Petersen followed with an RBI single and Imaziah McIntosh drove in the tying run with a fielder's choice. JCC took the lead on an RBI single by Falconer graduate Rick Allen and Gowanda graduate Christian VanNote doubled home the fourth run.
Pine Valley graduate Dylan Caldwell finished the game with two singles, Kody Kondrilk had a double and Elio Gonzalez had a single.
Thomas Hearst recorded a complete-game win as he gave up five hits and one walk, and struck out two.
In the second game, VanNote had two singles and two RBIs, Kondrilk picked up a two-run single while Gonzalez and Caldwell each had a single.
Starting pitcher Rick Allen took the loss as he pitched to one batter in the eighth. Jamestown graduate Nekyle Taylor also faced one batter and DeLaCruz recorded the three outs in the eighth.
The Jayhawks return to action on Tuesday at Diethrick Park in a twin bill with Tompkins-Cortland CC at 3 p.m.
