Two city men are in custody and another is wanted in connection with a drug bust that took place at 181 Barrows St. on Friday.
An investigation into the illegal manufacturing and sales of methamphetamine led investigators from the Jamestown Police Department, NYSP CNET and the Department of Homeland Security to execute a search warrant at the residence at about 5 p.m. on Friday.
Entry was gained into the residence with the use of the NYSP Special Operations Response Team, as information was obtained that the location was being used to manufacture and sell the methamphetamine. Once inside the Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team confirmed there was a quantity of items used in the process to manufacture methamphetamine.
Subjects Joseph A. Snyder, 28, and Dustin R. Verrett, 23, both of 181 Barrows St., were taken into custody and are being charged with third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine, a class D felony, and second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Both subjects were transported to the city jail where they are waiting arraignment.
Donald W. Dean, 38, of Jamestown is wanted in connection with the investigation. Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating Dean, who currently has several outstanding warrants. Charges for his involvement in the manufacturing and sales of methamphetamine are pending. Anyone who may know the whereabouts of Dean is asked to call 483-7537.
