The WCA Center For Orthopedics, Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation wellness team will offer a free foot bone density screening during the open house which will be held on Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. The center is located directly behind WCA Hospital, 31 Sherman St., Jamestown. Follow the open house signs. Convenient front door event parking will be available.
The foot bone screening is designed to check for osteoporosis, a bone condition that causes a person's bones to become weak and brittle. As bone density goes down, the risk of fractures and serious injury from fractures goes up.
Individuals interested in the foot bone density screening are encouraged to schedule an appointment before the open house. To schedule an appointment, contact Toni DeAngelo, R.N., WCA Hospital community and wellness director at 664-8677. The screening will take place on the first floor of the new Center For Orthopedics, Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation.

Kids and family members can play Wii-HAB! Guests are also invited to sign up for free speech, hearing and swallowing screenings at the event.
The public will also enjoy a photography exhibition during the event. A collection of photographic works will adorn the new center presented by Jamestown photographers Andy Palermo and Daniel Swackhammer. The artists will explore their personal vision of people and beautiful Americana surroundings in an exhibition that will include more than 25 photography images.
