Thanks to the pitching and hitting of Will Lucas, host Maple Grove went to 2-0 in Division 3 baseball on Wednesday afternoon.
Lucas hurled a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts and four walks and in addition he drove in three runs with two hits in the 16-1 decision over Chautauqua Lake.
The lone hit was a one-out RBI infield single by Ryan Stewart in the third inning.

Lucas delivered a two-run single and an RBI single to help his own cause for the Red Dragons.
Cass Howard plated four RBIs on a two-run single, an RBI single and fielder's choice. Jake Swan had a bases-clearing triple and Collin Stack drove in a pair of runs with two singles for MG.
PANAMA - The second-, third- and fourth-place hitters excelled with nine hits, eight RBIs and eight runs scored as Panama (1-1, 2-2) edged Pine Valley (1-1, 2-1), 13-12.
Cleanup hitter Kelvin Eddy drove in five runs with two doubles and a three-run homer and scored three times.
No. 2 hitter Sawyer Eggleston had three hits, three runs scored and knocked in two runs while Alec Blose, batting third, also had three hits, two runs scored and an RBI single for Panama, which had 16 hits.
Kyle McIntyre contributed an RBI double in the third inning.
Eggleston was also the winning pitcher as he faced 43 batters in which he allowed seven hits, 10 strikeouts and six walks. He was hurt by five errors, but still managed to pick up the win.
Lucas Trombley singled twice and tallied three times for PV while Josh Kilburn added a three-run triple and finished with four RBIs in the loss.
