Jamestown Community College split an NJCAA Region 3 Division III doubleheader with Finger Lakes CC at Diethrick Park on Tuesday afternoon.
The Jayhawks (6-13, 5-3) benefited from a clutch single in the bottom of the ninth by Conner Borowski to take the first game, 4-3, but were defeated in the nightcap, 12-5.
JCC held a 3-0 advantage heading into the seventh inning thanks to the solid pitching of Lyle Howard, who hurled 7 innings, fanned three and scattered seven hits. But an error late in game allowed the Finger Lakes to score three runs (just one of which was earned) to tie it and send the contest into extra innings.

Gonzalez went 2 for 4 with a pair of doubles while Borowski, in addition to his game-winner, hit a triple in the victory.

Capitalizing on the errors, the Finger Lakes scored in every inning, including a four-run output in the seventh that put the game completely from reach.
