The Rotary Club of Greater Jamestown AM teamed up with Kmart in Lakewood to purchase the last of their remaining winter coats for the annual distribution for the Coats for Kids program sponsored by the Salvation Army of Jamestown.
Money raised from numerous Rotary fundraising activities was used to purchase children's coats for the program.
"The AM Rotary Club has been sorting and purchasing new coats for Coats for Kids program since we formed the club in 1990," according to Vince DeJoy, charter member.

Rotarian Rob Lind has chaired this program for more than 10 years now, and spends a great deal of time organizing and coordinating our efforts," said Cindy Kay, club president. "This would not be possible also if not for the generous support the community has given to us over the last 23 years with our fundraising efforts that have recently included dining out coupon books."
The Salvation Army of Jamestown will store the coats, and the Greater Jamestown AM Rotary Club will later assist the Salvation Army in sorting donated coats for cleaning and the distribution of the coats later in the year.
