New Girls Running Club Formed At JHS

The JHS "Running Raiders," is a new girls' running club at Jamestown High School. Teachers Jennifer McMaster, Lora Pirrello, Michele Schnars, Kim Sutter, Wendy Broderick and Elizabeth Rowe-Baehr take turns running with students every day after school. The group started training the first week in February, beginning with alternating walking with brief periods of running ,working up to a 5K. The "Running Raiders" ran in the Chautauqua Striders' St. Pat's Dash on Saturday, March 16 with a team goal to have everyone complete the race. The group plans to continue running and enter more races in the future.
