Jean DeLong Russo, 73, of 3307 Kumquat Drive, Edgewater, Fla., passed away Friday (March 29, 2013) in the Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center, Daytona Beach, Fla.
She was born March 26, 1940, in Brisbin, Pa., a daughter of the late Clair and Beatrice Wallen DeLong.
While living in the Jamestown area she had worked for Vac Air Alloys and the South and Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer District.
Surviving are her husband, John Russo of Edgewater, Fla.; a son, Mark S. (Jeni) Gage of Frewsburg, N.Y.; a daughter, Rhonda (Allan) Merkle of Warren, Pa.; two grandsons: Jason (Sabrina) Anderson of Jamestown, N.Y., and Joshua Lindstrom of Clear-water, Fla.; four great-grandchildren; five stepchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Vogle Hoyt of Jamestown; a brother, Alton "Al" DeLong of Jamestown; and her former husband Martin R. Gage of Frewsburg.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Joan DeLong.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2013, in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Douglas Knopp, retired pastor of Christ First United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2013, in the funeral home.
