David Rizzo, 76, passed away Wednesday morning March 27, 2013, at Monte Vista Grove Homes of Pasadena, Calif., under the exceptional care of VNA Hospice.
David was born in Jamestown, to Frank and Jennie Rizzo on March 23, 1937.
He was a graduate of Jamestown High School in 1955, and worked in several industries in Jamestown, before moving to Los Angeles in 1961. Since 1991, he had been employed by Mole-Richardson Inc., as a draftsman of high-end stage lighting equipment for the movie industry, and was still employed by them at the time of his death. He was very proud to be in their employment.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Della Rizzo of Los Angeles.
David is survived by sisters: Verna McCormick of Lake Oswego, Ore., and France Rizzo of Frewsburg, N.Y., as well as brothers: Russell Rizzo of Arnold, Pa., Vernon Rizzo of Jamestown, N.Y., and Paul Rizzo of Falconer, N.Y. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and many great- nieces and nephews.
The extended family of David wishes to extend heartfelt love and deep appreciation to nieces: Johanna Meyer-McCormick of Lake Oswego, Ore., and Roasanne Keddie of Charlotte, N.C., for their many trips away from their families and homes to be with David during his illness.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Forest Lawn of Glendale, Calif.
