Suzanne M. Carte, 64, of Jamestown, passed away Monday (April 1, 2013), in her home surrounded by her family.
A lifelong area resident, she was born March 22, 1949, in Silver Creek, the daughter of the late Harry and Barbara Smith Woodcock.
Suzanne enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting, plastic canvas and word puzzles.

Surviving are five children: Brenda Woodcock and Jackie Rettger, both of Jamestown, Jeffrey (Mitty) Cornelius and Clarence Carte, all of Sinclairville, and Christinia (Robert) Johnson of Jamestown; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Roger Woodcock of Fredonia; and four sisters: Virginia Bickhart of Fredonia, Linda Silsby of New Albion, N.Y., Gloria (Elmer) Cardin of Missouri, and Sharon Winkelmann of Silver Creek.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl C. Carte Sr. whom she married March 22, 1973, who died May 9, 1990; and a brother, Dean Woodcock.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Rev. David Olson will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
