Vikings Help Purchase Emergency Equipment

March 31, 2013
The Post-Journal

During the annual Viking Polar Bear Swim in Chautauqua Lake the second week in February, members of the Maple Springs Fire Department were on hand with all the necessary equipment to cover any emergencies that might occur. Fire Chief Doug Conroe demonstrated the Lucus 2 Chest Compression System. Ingjald Lodge donated half of the $15,000 cost of this lifesaving piece of equipment. Viking Chief Steve Kosthorst stated he was extremely proud of all the Vikings who helped with this project. Community involvement has in the past and continues to be a cornerstone of Viking philosophy.
