KENNEDY - A cold, early spring day did not stop residents of the town of Poland from holding the annual Easter egg hunt. Organized by the Town of Poland Recreation Committee, the different age groups were able to hunt outside at the Paul B.D. Temple School.
More than 100 children got to hunt for candy and other goodies in various areas of the playground. Everyone enjoyed the sunshine, and watching the youngsters as they searched was a delight for all those present. Some of the littlest ones had a hard time deciding if they wanted to hunt for goodies or play on the equipment.
After all the goodies were found in the search areas, everyone gathered by the parking lot to hand out extra prizes. Not only were there two prize eggs for each age group, but there also were drawings for extra prizes, awarded to whoever had the lucky numbers. No one left without at least some candy. Many stayed to play after the festivities were over. Parents and grandparents took the time to thank committee members for the special day.
Participants line up to go to their area for the Easter egg hunt in Kennedy.
