The Jamestown Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution Board of Directors met recently in the chapter house at 70 Prospect St. to make long-range plans for this year. Chapter Regent Sharon Terwilliger opened the meeting with a welcome to all.
On the agenda were plans for future events, which include award ceremonies, meeting dates, the Spring District Conference, a new brochure, fundraising, building maintenance and events.
Past regent Dawn Durow is the chairman of the nominating committee for officers for the new year, and is developing a slate of officers. The election of officers will take place at the May 4 meeting.

The next regular meeting of the DAR will be held on April 20 at 12:30 p.m. at the chapter house. There will be a historical presentation by Fran Fair of the Fenton Museum. Refreshments will be served following the presentation by Marie Grimm, Elaine Rissel and Barb Stewart. In recognition of Arbor Day, young trees will be distributed to members to be planted.
Good Citizens' awards for high school students will presented at a reception at the Chapter House on April 28 from 2-4 p.m. Student recipients and their parents will be recognized, and there will be a history tour of the Chapter House.
The District VIII Round Table Meeting will be held in Williamsville, with DAR Chapter Katharine Pratt Horton of Buffalo.
A regular meeting of the Jamestown Chapter will be held on May 18 at 12:30 p.m. at the Chapter House. The guest speaker will be Annette Waite presenting a program on Mary Jamison. Refreshments will be provided by Loretta Smith, Linda Cass and Nell Lucas.
Good Citizenship Awards will be presented to middle school students on May 19 at the chapter house from 2-4 p.m. There will also be a history tour of the Chapter House following the award presentations.
On May 25 at the Veterans' Park, a dedication ceremony will be sponsored by the Blue Star Mothers, and all DAR members are encouraged to attend.
Any woman, who is 18 years or older, and can prove heritage to a patriot of the American Revolution is welcome to join the DAR, and may receive information by calling 664-4144.
