CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
SALAMANCA - Jeremy L. Finch, 27, of 3629 N. Authority, Killbuck, N.Y., was charged at 4 p.m. on Wednesday on a warrant issued from Cattaraugus County Family Court after turning himself in to Salamanca Police. He was taken to Cattaraugus County Family Court for arraignment and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $1,500 bail. He is due back in court at a later date.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
HANOVER - Stephen J. Duman, of Hurlbert Road, Forestville was charged at 6 p.m. on Wednesday with two counts of second-degree menacing. Sheriff's deputies arrested Duman on charges which stemmed from an incident which occurred on March 4 when he allegedly pointed a gun at two individuals who were attempting to load a disabled snowmobile onto a truck. Duman was issued appearance tickets and will appear in Hanover Town Court at a later date and time.
DUNKIRK - Danielle E. Gee, 19, of 19 W. Main St., Brocton was charged at 11 a.m. on Friday with unlawful possession of marijuana. The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office investigated an incident at 3976 Vineyard Drive in the town of Dunkirk. Following this investigation, Gee was found to be in possession of a small quantity of marijuana. She was arrested, charged, released and will appear in the town of Dunkirk Court on a later date to answer the charge.
LAKEWOOD - A patrol car door was damaged Sunday while transporting Ian Anderson, 37, of Wellsville from the Lakewood-Busti Police Department to the Chautauqua County Jail. According to police, Anderson was repeatedly kicking the back of the door while inside the vehicle. He was charged with third-degree criminal mischief. Anderson will face charges in Busti Town Court.
POMFRET - Wilbur Reyes, 26, of 3472 Route 20, Pomfret was charged Friday with criminal obstruction of breathing, second-degree harassment, endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest. After an investigation it was found that Reyes had choked, pushed and punched a 16-year-old at his residence. While attempting to serve a warrant issued for Reyes he resisted. Reyes was arraigned in the Town of Pomfret Court and committed to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash/$10,000 property bail.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Randy S. Smith, 40 and Robin L. Smith, 39, both of Jamestown were charged at 4 a.m. on Friday with third-degree assault. Jamestown Police officers were dispatched to a Stowe Street address for a domestic. When they arrived on the scene they located Randy Smith and Robin Smith who were both involved in a physical altercation. Upon further investigation, officers determined that Robin Smith assaulted Randy Smith. After the altercation, Randy Smith threw a cellphone at Robin Smith causing her injury. Both were arrested, charged and transported to the City Jail where they are currently being held without bail, awaiting arraignment.
Joshua A. Howard, 30, of Warren was charged at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday as a with fugitive from justice. Officers received a tip that Howard was a 284 S. Main St. Howard had a valid Pennsylvania arrest warrant for a burglary charge. Officers were able to locate him and he was transported to the Jamestown City Jail. Howard was charged and was held pending arraignment.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
Carl Faison, 45, of Jamestown was charged with criminal contempt second on March 17. New York State Police received a complaint from an individual in Randolph who reported that Faison was at her neighbor's residence, which was in violation of an order of protection her neighborhood had against him. After checking to verify the order of protection was valid, Faison was arrested and processed at the state police barracks in Jamestown, issued an appearance ticket and will appear in the Town of Randolph Court on a later date.
POMFRET - William Larson, 21, of Dunkirk was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana at 9:45 p.m. on Thursday. Fredonia Troopers stopped for speeding on Route 20 in the town of Pomfret. Troopers allege that Larson was traveling at a speed of 53 mph in a 40-mph zone. Upon interviewing him, the smell of marijuana was emanating from the vehicle. Larson was found to be in possession of three marijuana joints. Charges will be answered at 6 p.m. on April 2 in the Town of Pomfret Court.
