A Jamestown man was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail following an incident at the Jamestown YMCA on Tuesday.
Jamestown Police say 37-year-old Matthew J. Piscitelli entered the facility at 101 E. Fourth St. with bolt cutters hidden in his duffel bag at 11:15 a.m., cut a lock off of a locker in the men's locker room and removed a quantity of cash from the locker. Surveillance video from the YMCA showing the suspect entering the facility with the duffle bag assisted investigators in the case. Officials were able to recover and return the victim's money that was taken from the locker.
Piscitelli, who was charged with larceny and possession of burglar tools, is also being held on a parole violation as he is currently being tracked with the state Parole Division.
The JPD was assisted by the Buffalo office of the New York State Division of Parole.
