Alcohol Sales To Minors Lead To Charges

Two bartenders were charged with selling alcohol to a minor following a state compliance check on Saturday.

The compliance detail was conducted by State Police, Jamestown police and the state Liquor Authority, and centered on establishments around Chautauqua County. According to State Police in a news release, 10 bars were found to be in compliance with state alcohol beverage control laws.

Charged with selling alcohol to a minor were David A. Eriksen, 40, of Jamestown, and Ashley A. Shaffer, 24, of Dunkirk. Eriksen works at The Road-House Bar & Grill, East Second Street, Jamestown, while Shaffer works at Doons, Water Street, Fredonia.

Both were issued an appearance tickets, and will appear in court at a later date.
