Lester E. Nichols, 83, formerly of Falconer and Tanglewood Manor, passed away Thursday (March 14, 2013), in Heritage Village Rehab & Skilled Nursing Center.
A lifelong area resident, he was born June 12, 1929, in Jamestown, the son of the late Earl and Gertrude Wood Nichols.
Prior to retirement, Lester was employed by Merlin Rockwell Corporation, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Chadakoin Lodge 130, I.O.O.F. for more than 50 years. Lester enjoyed singing with the Golden Jems and for the Jamestown Jammers.

He is survived by his cousin, Robert (Cora) Delahoy of Ashville, and Raymond Gourley of Union City, Pa.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Rev. Jennifer Delahoy, pastor of Kennedy United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received by the family from 1:30- 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. The Chadakoin Lodge 130, I.O.O.F. will conduct a memorial service at 2:25 p.m. in the funeral home.
