Michael J. Reale, 27, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with speed not reasonable and prudent, and possession of a hypodermic instrument. According to police, at 7:48 a.m., Reale was traveling east on East Fairmount Avenue when he attempted to make a righthand turn onto Mall Boulevard. Due to his speed, Reale was unable to complete the turn. He traveled through the intersection, jumped the curb on the southeast corner, where the vehicle collided head on with a light pole. He was transported to WCA Hospital for minor injuries and later charged.
