Kenneth R. Carlson, 67, of Falconer, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday (March 12, 2013), at his home.
He was born Nov. 21, 1945, in Sugar Grove, Pa., the son of the late Rudolph and Edith Carlson.
Ken attended Falconer High School, and prior to retirement was employed by Chautauqua Hardware for 30 years, retiring in 2004.

He enjoyed animals, especially dogs and volunteering at the Chautauqua County Humane Society. Ken loved to fix and tinker with things around his property. He was very meticulous and was considered to be a "Jack of All Traits." Too many good things to say about this man.
Surviving are his son, Richard S. Carlson, of Jamestown; his daughter, Christina L. Swanson, of Falconer; four grandchildren: Michael, Jackie, Chad and Bradlee; and two brothers: Wayne Carlson of Jamestown and LaVern "Guy" Carlson of Sinclairville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia J. Mattson Carlson, whom he married Jan. 14, 1967, and who died June 19, 2005; two sisters: Leona Freeman and Vivian Buck; and his son-in-law, Scott Swanson.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Reeves, pastor of Zion Tabernacle Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received by the family from 7-9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
