Douglas Foster Harlow, 68, of Falconer, N.Y., passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, March 10, 2013, in Tampa, Fla.
He was born June 11, 1944, in Boston, Mass., the son of Gladys (Foster) Harlow and Leslie Harlow. He lived most of his life with his wife of 46 years, Bonita (Houghton) Harlow, in Falconer, N.Y.
Doug graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy in Vermont, then served in the U.S. Air Force before beginning his career in electronics, which included working for Bower's Electric, Westburg Electric and later for Cummins Engine Company, before he retired due to health reasons.

In his spare time he enjoyed all things musical, singing, playing guitar and keyboard. He was a member of the band, Country Fuel Supply, a scuba diver and former scuba instructor and a retired member of Falconer Fire Department. Doug was an active member in his church, Our Lady of Loreto in Falconer and a winter member of St. Lawrence Church in Bushnell, Fla.
Doug was extremely loving and proud of his two daughters, Nancy Harlow-Garvey, of Frewsburg, and Kathy Harlow-Fischer of Rochester; and his three grandchildren: Claire Garvey, Nicole Fischer, and Sarah Fischer. He is also survived by his wife and best friend, Bonita (Houghton) Harlow.
The family will receive friends for a memorial service on a date in April to be announced at a later time. Memorials can be made to Falconer Fire Department or Chautauqua Humane Society.
