St. Timothy Lutheran Church will host the fourth week of its Health and Wellness: Complimentary Alternatives to Traditional Medicine Lenten Series on Wednesday evening. The worship service begins at 7:15 p.m. and will feature this week's guest speaker, Shauna Anderson, who will speak about The "New Hospice." Everyone is welcome to attend.
Anderson has been employed at Hospice Chautauqua County for more than 10 years, providing direct care, quality assurance functions, education, outreach, clinical supervision, direction and planning. She has national certification in Hospice and palliative care, and is a member of the American Society for Pain Management Nursing.
Anderson will speak about the new palliative care program and the additional pediatric program; eligibility of services; various therapies, including massage, music, art, pet; bereavement counseling; legacy work including legacy teddy bears and videos. She lives with her husband Dan in Bemus Point, and is mother of two and grandmother of three young women.
Preceding the worship service, there is a no-cost dinner at 6:30 p.m. and all are welcome.
